The Penn State Extension Master Watershed Steward Program of Bucks County and the Bucks County Conservation District are partnering to bring together the people and organizations driving natural resource conservation in Bucks County. This event will be held alongside the Wrightstown Farmers Market on the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds.

Inside the barn, attendees will find a native plant sale, live demonstrations, and information tables hosted by township Environmental Advisory Committees, Bucks County Parks and Recreation, the Bucks County Planning Commission, and local nonprofit conservation organizations and watershed associations. Native trees and plants will be sold individually as well as in starter packs for different site conditions, along with native meadow seed mixes created specifically created for eastern Pennsylvania soils.  Over 50 Penn State Master Watershed Stewards will be on hand to answer questions about native plant selection, placement, planting,  care, and the ecological benefit of using native plants in home gardens.

If you have an interest in ecological or conservation gardening, visit the on-site Penn State Extension office between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM on the day of the event. Experienced Master Watershed Stewards will offer brief, introductory talks on topics such as Native Container Gardens (10:00 AM), Rain Gardens (10:45 AM) Lawn-to-Meadow Conversions (11:30 AM) ,and Karen Odgen of the Bucks County Conservation District will speak about Partnering for Conservation (12:30 PM).
