If you have not yet paid your 2024 Borough & County Real Estate Taxes, please be aware that the end of the discount period is April 30th. Payments must be received or postmarked by April 30th.  For walk-in payments, the Borough is open Monday-Friday from 9AM to 4PM (closed on holidays).  Call the Borough office at 215-822-7295 with any questions.

This event has changed and shredding will no longer be offered.  This is an electronics recycling event only.  There will be no e-recycling fees charged to Chalfont Borough residents.

SEPTA announced that it has a grade crossing project scheduled for next weekend in Hatfield Township. Due to this work, train service between Lansdale and Doylestown will be impacted next Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April 15, 2024.  Click here for more details.

After taking place along Main Street in Chalfont for more than three decades, it was decided in 2024 that due to declining enrollment and volunteers, the Chalfont Challenge 5K will no longer occur.  However, other races in the Bucks 5K Series are still occurring and interested runners can go to the Series website to register and participate in any of the upcoming Bucks 5K Series races.

Shredding will no longer be offered at this event.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Pursuant to Article III, Section 302(a) of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), Chalfont Borough is requesting the review by the public of the proposed draft of its 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update.  The Plan is also being distributed to the contiguous municipalities to Chalfont Borough; New Britain Township and New Britain Borough, as well as to Central Bucks School District and the Bucks County Planning Commission for their comments.  In accordance with Section 302 of the MPC, any comments regarding the Comprehensive Plan Draft must be received within forty-five (45) days of this notice.

Chalfont Borough is holding a public meeting on February 26, 2024, at 7:00PM at 40 N. Main St., Chalfont, PA 18914 to present and discuss its proposed 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update.  The public is invited and encouraged to attend and comment.

The Plan is intended to guide future development of the Borough based on recent information on existing and projected population, and other factors.  The Plan gives recommendations for transportation; local economic development; Borough services; conservation of natural resources; open space, parks and recreation; historic preservation; commercial and economic development; zoning; existing and future land use; and the means by which these recommendations may be implemented.

A copy of the full text of the proposed Plan is available for public examination without charge on the Borough website or may be obtained for a charge not greater than the cost of copying at the Chalfont Borough Administration Office during regular business hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, (except holidays) at 40 N. Main St., Chalfont, PA.  An opportunity will be given to all interested persons in attendance at a public meeting held on February 26, 2024, at 7:00 PM in Borough Hall, 40 N.
