22nd ANNUAL PENN STATE MASTER GARDENER PLANT SALE
The Penn State Master Gardeners of Bucks County hold their 22nd Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 4, 2024, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at their office location on The Middletown Grange Fairgrounds, 576 Penns Park Rd, Newtown, PA. This is a rain or shine event.
The sale offers many types of annuals, perennials, rare and unusual trees and shrubs including Master Gardener grown and donated plants, a large selection of herbs and vegetables, including heirloom types. Also offered are butterfly/pollinator plants, shade and deer-resistant plants, indoor plants, container garden plants, native plants and shrubs from the Master Watershed Stewards of Bucks County, as well as a beautiful selection of hanging baskets for Mother’s Day gifts. The sale features a large indoor area with ample parking. 80+ Master Gardeners and Master Watershed Stewards are on hand to answer home gardening and environmental stewardship questions and help with plant selection for Bucks County gardens. Bring your own wagon or cart. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted. For additional information please call 267-483-2020. All proceeds benefit the educational outreach of the Penn State Master Gardener Program and Penn State Master Watershed Steward Program of Bucks County.

If you have not yet paid your 2024 Borough & County Real Estate Taxes, please be aware that the end of the discount period is April 30th. Payments must be received or postmarked by April 30th. For walk-in payments, the Borough is open Monday-Friday from 9AM to 4PM (closed on holidays). Call the Borough office at 215-822-7295 with any questions.
2024 Comprehensive Plan Update
Chalfont Borough’s 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update was adopted by Borough Council at their April 9, 2024, regular meeting.
2024 Community E-Recycling Event on May 4, 2024
This event has changed and shredding will no longer be offered. This is an electronics recycling event only. There will be no e-recycling fees charged to Chalfont Borough residents.
Septa Service Impacted between Doylestown & Lansdale on 4/13/24 and 4/14/24
SEPTA announced that it has a grade crossing project scheduled for next weekend in Hatfield Township. Due to this work, train service between Lansdale and Doylestown will be impacted next Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April 15, 2024. Click here for more details.
Chalfont Challenge 5K – No Longer Held
After taking place along Main Street in Chalfont for more than three decades, it was decided in 2024 that due to declining enrollment and volunteers, the Chalfont Challenge 5K will no longer occur. However, other races in the Bucks 5K Series are still occurring and interested runners can go to the Series website to register and participate in any of the upcoming Bucks 5K Series races.
