New Britain Township, Chalfont Borough, and New Britain Borough are pleased to announce plans for the annual Tri-Municipal 4th of July Parade, which will be held on July 4th starting at 9:30 AM at the Town Center on Butler Avenue.

Parade coordinators are asking for businesses to consider making donations/sponsorships in exchange for recognition.

Solicitation Permits were issued to Matthew Fry and Isaac Gunson.  They are both employees of Moxie Pest Control and will be circulating in the Borough with valid permits from 5/27/25 through 6/2/25. There is no soliciting allowed on Sundays.

Bucks County Announcement

Bucks County Commissioners and the Bucks County Planning Commission are working to update the County’s Act 167 Stormwater Management Plans.  They have engaged with NTM Engineering to assist.  As part of that work, they will be conducting field visits throughout the county on May 21, May 27-30, and on June 2-3, and June 5-6.  Please see the letter for more details.

Hoagie Sale on 5/17/25

Chalfont Fire Company Auxiliary is holding their Spring Turkey Hoagie Sale featuring their “secret sauce” on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (or sold out) at 301 N. Main Street in Chalfont.  Hoagies are $10 each and home baked goods will also be offered.  For information and ordering in advance, call 215-822-2251.  Chalfont Fire Company is a 501c3 organization.

They are all employees of Renewal by Andersen (replacement windows and doors) and will be circulating in the Borough. The permits are valid from Monday, May 12th to Saturday, May 17th. There is no soliciting allowed on Sundays.

The sale features native Pennsylvania plants, trees, meadow seed mixes, and more, with Penn State Master Watershed Stewards on hand to answer your questions about selection, planting, care, and ecological value.  Sale is cash or check only.  ATM on site.  Arrive early for best selection.

The Penn State Extension Master Watershed Steward program of Bucks County, the Bucks County Conservation District, Municipal EACs, and local conservation non-profits invite you to join us for a native plant sale, demonstrations, and short speaker presentations about gardening with native plants.

The Penn State Extension Master Watershed Steward Program of Bucks County and the Bucks County Conservation District are partnering to bring together the people and organizations driving natural resource conservation in Bucks County. This event will be held alongside the Wrightstown Farmers Market on the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds.

Inside the barn, attendees will find a native plant sale, live demonstrations, and information tables hosted by township Environmental Advisory Committees, Bucks County Parks and Recreation, the Bucks County Planning Commission, and local nonprofit conservation organizations and watershed associations. Native trees and plants will be sold individually as well as in starter packs for different site conditions, along with native meadow seed mixes created specifically created for eastern Pennsylvania soils.  Over 50 Penn State Master Watershed Stewards will be on hand to answer questions about native plant selection, placement, planting,  care, and the ecological benefit of using native plants in home gardens.

If you have an interest in ecological or conservation gardening, visit the on-site Penn State Extension office between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM on the day of the event. Experienced Master Watershed Stewards will offer brief, introductory talks on topics such as Native Container Gardens (10:00 AM), Rain Gardens (10:45 AM) Lawn-to-Meadow Conversions (11:30 AM) ,and Karen Odgen of the Bucks County Conservation District will speak about Partnering for Conservation (12:30 PM).

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 207 Park Avenue in Chalfont (New Britain Township’s administration building) there will be an E-recycling & Shredding Event open to Chalfont Borough residents, ID required for proof of address.
• Titan Mobile Shredding will be accepting documents for shredding from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
• eForce Recycling will be accepting e-recycling items from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
– $30 fee per TV or Computer Monitor
– $100 fee per Wooden Console or Projection TV
– $10 fee per Air Conditioner, Dehumidifier, or Microwave
