Krupp Park

The Chalfont Lions Club is pleased to announce their Annual Egg Hunt at Krupp Park.

Event Details:
– Date: Saturday, March 28th (Rain date: April 4th)
– Time: 10:00 AM (youngest age group will start first)
– Location: Krupp Park, 40 N. Main St. in Chalfont

Age Groups:
– 4 & under
– 5 & 6
– 7 & 8
– 9 & up

Every child will leave with candy and there will be special prizes available for each age group. Additionally, beeping eggs will be provided for children with sight impairments to ensure everyone can participate. The Lion’s Club looks forward to seeing you there!

Bristol Rd. Closure – Evenings 3/23/26 to 3/27/26

PennDOT announcement: Utility improvement will occur on Bristol Road in New Britain and Chalfont Boroughs beginning Monday, March 23, through Friday, March 27, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning. Bristol Road will be closed and detoured weeknights between Unami Trail and Hibiscus Drive (local access for those who live there will be maintained at all times). During the evening closures, traffic will be detoured to Upper State Rd, Rt. 152, Butler Ave, and Bus. Rt. 202.

Republic Services Closed on Feb. 23, 2026, Due to Snow

Message from Republic Services:  Due to the inclement weather, Republic is closed on Monday, February 23, 2026, and expects to re-open on Tuesday, which means they’ll be operating this week on a one-day service delay.  Therefore, Chalfont Borough’s pickup day has been moved to Wednesday, February 25.  Please try to remove snow from the collection area on your property to the best of your ability.  Collection drivers can’t risk injury trying to access your toters.  Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Borough Announces Emergency Declaration

Chalfont Borough declares a winter storm emergency starting on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM through duration of the storm and its clean-up.  It is unlawful to at any time during the continuance of the emergency for any person to park a motor vehicle or to allow that vehicle to remain parked anywhere on any Borough streets, all of which are designated snow emergency routes.

As a reminder, Chalfont Borough’s Public Works crew will be doing everything possible to keep up with the storm, so please be patient as they do their best to work on clearing Borough-owned streets.  State-owned roads are maintained by PennDOT.

§ 362-66. Responsibility for removal of snow and ice from sidewalks.

Every person in charge or control of any building or lot of land fronting or abutting on a paved sidewalk, whether as owner, tenant, occupant, lessee or otherwise, shall remove and clear away or cause to be removed or cleared away snow and/or ice from a path of at least 30 inches in width from so much of said sidewalk as in front of or abutting on said building or lot of land.

  1. Except as provided in Subsection B hereof, snow and ice shall be removed from sidewalks within 12 hours after the cessation of any fall of snow, sleet or freezing rain.
  2. In the event snow and/or ice on a sidewalk has become so hard that it cannot be removed without likelihood of damage to the sidewalk, the person charged with its removal shall cause enough sand or other abrasive to be put on the sidewalk to make travel reasonably safe and shall, as soon thereafter as weather permits, cause to be cleared a path in said sidewalk of at least 30 inches in width.

§ 362-67. Responsibility for removal from roofs.

Every person in charge or control of any building or other structure, whether as owner, tenant, occupant, lessee or otherwise, shall remove and clear away, or cause to be removed and cleared away, any accumulation of snow and ice on said building or other structure which is liable to fall on any sidewalk, roadway or other public way. Such work shall be completed within a reasonable time but not later than 12 hours after the cessation of any fall of snow, sleet or freezing rain.

§ 362-68. Depositing of snow and ice restricted.

No person shall deposit or cause to be deposited any snow or ice on or immediately next to a fire hydrant or on any sidewalk, roadway or loading or unloading areas of a public transportation system, except that snow and ice may be mounded by the Borough on public cartways incident to the cleaning thereof or mounded on curbs incident to the clearing of sidewalks in business districts.
